Happy Father’s Day!
Despite our busy day Saturday, we had even more fun planned for Sunday. We both were a little less than excited to be getting up early again, but once we got to our destination we were glad we did.
We ran the Color Me Rad 5K in Fairmount Park in Philly, and it was super fun! Basically, you wear a white shirt and by the end of the race you have been “color bombed” with colored corn starch of various colors. The race isn’t timed, which was good. A 7-months pregnant lady and a guy who just ran a marathon weren’t going to set any 5k records anyway. I don’t know if the pictures do justice to how colorful we really were. We still have a few spots of color that would not come out after a lot of scrubbing. 
After the race, we indulged ourselves in Five Guys and Dairy Queen, took a much needed nap, and spent the afternoon building our baby girl’s crib and dresser.
This summer is shaping up to be filled with fun and excitement – hope I can keep up!
