12.30.12 – Wagner Family Christmas Part II

30 Dec

Our Christmas celebrations ended with my dad’s side of the family. We gathered at my Grandma and Grandpa Wagner’s house to watch the Bear’s season end. Oh… and to celebrate. 😉 We chowed down on more food and desserts than you can imagine (so yummy!). Grandma gave us each a breath prayer to say throughout the day like when we are at a stoplight. My prayer is, “God, I am thankful for my life,” which is perfect! It was a great day to end our Christmas season.

Here are some pics:

12.29.12 – Minion Family Christmas

29 Dec

The Saturday after Christmas 27 people gathered from five states to celebrate Christmas and family at my Grandma and Grandpa Minion’s house. It was a full house with good food and good times. The little girls had a great time sledding in the backyard, and some of the grown-ups joined in on the fun as well.

We also managed to get a pretty great group pic! Here are some pics from the day:

12.28.12 – Wagner Family Christmas

28 Dec

On Friday, we headed to Indiana to visit my side of the family. It was the first time in 28 years that I did not spend Christmas Day at my parents’ house. Although I had a fabulous Christmas with the Pott family, I couldn’t wait to spend some holiday time with mi familia. It was a crazy weekend traveling all over Indiana to see my extended family, but it was so worth it!

Here are some pics from Friday at my parents’ house including our annual Christmas Kids photo:

25 Dec

On Christmas Eve, we headed up to Chicago to spend Christmas with Kyle’s parents, brother, and sister-in-law. We had a really nice time with his side of the family and enjoyed seeing Great Papa, Anna, the Lahey’s, and the Mittermann’s as well. We had lots of laughs, and Laney got lots of attention. She is one spoiled little girl. 🙂

12.24.12 – A Very Merry Christmas

24 Dec

I was so excited for Laney’s first Christmas. It’s hard to believe I was pregnant this time last year and didn’t even know it yet! The holiday season was a bit of a whirlwind with moving and traveling, but it was very merry! The next several posts are dedicated to our various Christmas celebrations (and there were quite a few!). However, I will start with Christmas Eve and just the three of us.

We finally finished unpacking the house the day before Christmas Eve, so we put up a tree and our stockings (mostly for the photo op). We opened a couple of presents Christmas Eve morning before heading up to Chicago (more on that in the next post). Excuse our questionable appearances… we had a rough week unpacking! There are also some random phone pictures from the holiday including from the super fun Warne Christmas party. We got second place in the gingerbread house competition!

12.23.12 – Merry Christmas from Illinois!

23 Dec

Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone! 🙂 We survived the move, and the house is mostly in order. A few pictures yet to hang and a major shopping trip to stock the house and we will officially be settled. We will probably throw up a few Christmas decorations today just in time. It really doesn’t feel like Christmas to me, so hopefully that will put me more in the spirit. Plus, it’s Laney’s first Christmas, so we have to have a tree.

Before I get busy wrapping the gifts piled up in my closet… I thought I would share Laney’s three-month/Christmas pics. I just love how they turned out. And thanks to Devon Anne Photography for letting me use her new awesome natural light studio, backdrops, and props again to take her pictures. We are certainly going to miss her!

Here is my little Christmas cutie:

More on the house after the holidays with an official tour. We absolutely love our new home! Laney is starting to get settled in as well. The poor thing has been jostled quite a bit these last few weeks. We finished her room yesterday, and she slept better last night. Maybe she just needed familiar stuff on her walls to help her sleep. 🙂

We will be busy with family gatherings the next couple of weeks, so we wish everyone a very merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe this time last year we had our little Christmas miracle, and I can’t wait to enjoy her first Christmas. Hope everyone’s holiday is filled with love, joy, and peace. Our hearts are certainly full. 🙂

12.15.12 – Leaving on a Jetplane

15 Dec

Well, Philly it’s been real. We will be heading to the airport soon to catch our plane to our old new home in Illinois. Yesterday, Kyle and I discussed our top ten favorite memories in our little house in Media. On top of the list were of course Laney-related events. It is a little bittersweet leaving. It will always be the place we found out we were pregnant, brought our baby girl home, and where she spent her first three months of life.

We will miss the walk-ability of our little town…the architecture…the Italian food…the history…the closeness to big city life and the BEACH! Mostly we will miss the people. We met some pretty fantastic East Coasters, who we will miss. Thank you for your friendship!

We have grown a lot this past year and are so glad we had this experience.
But we look forward to being closer to family and friends who we have missed so much and starting the next chapter in our new home.

We go now… 🙂
