12.9.12 – Final Weekend in PA!

10 Dec

It’s pretty hard to believe this was our final weekend in Pennsylvania. It’s also hard to believe Christmas is a little over two weeks away. We don’t have any decorations up because we are moving this week, so it just doesn’t feel quite right. However, we had a fun and busy weekend saying goodbye to our East Coast friends.

Friday: Kyle’s friend from college came, Fatima, came to visit from NYC. Laney enjoyed meeting her for the first time, and we had a fun evening catching up with her over pizza. She bought Laney the cutest dress and fur coat – she is one spoiled little girl! Our time on the East Coast was too short to fully take advantage of living so close to each other, but we were glad she could meet Laney before we move. Thanks for visiting!

Saturday: After Fatima left, we did a little relaxing and got ready for dinner with the Bongaardt’s. Ian and Kyle met at Crossfit, and I know Kyle will miss his workout buddy. Kelly made us a yummy dinner, and we enjoyed visiting with them and their adorable little ones.  We will definitely have to stay in touch, and thanks for hosting us!

Sunday: Laney was super sleepy today. I think she was worn out from her eventful weekend! We did manage to visit Santa at the mall. She has no idea what is going on, but it’s her first Christmas! How could we not visit Santa? She fell asleep while waiting in line, but we did manage to get her to look at the camera. The Bruner’s came over for dinner and a last visit. It was so great when they moved so close to us this summer, and we will miss them!
