12.18.11 – Weekend Wrap-up

19 Dec

We had a lot of fun this weekend and accomplished a lot at the same time.  You already heard about our Friday night dinner in this post, but here is a quick recap of the rest of our weekend:

  • Spent most of the day trying to get licenses and license plates – unfortunately not done with this task.  There’s no getting away with anything in this state!
  • Five Guys for cheeseburgers and fries (had to do a quick meal to get to our after-dinner plans)
  • The Sound of Music at the Media Theater – Kyle had not seen and knew nothing about the play.  It was a little roasty-toasty in the theater, but the actors did a very nice job.  The songs are still stuck in my head!

  • We took the train into Philly to eat at Fogo de Chao.  Kyle had been to one before, but this was Jamie’s first experience.  It was a very fun, delicious, and filling experience!
  • After dinner, we took a stroll to LOVE Park to see the Christmas Village.  We also took a quick peek at the Comcast Center’s video wall.  The video wall wasn’t much to write home about, but we made a note to visit the Christmas Village next year during the day when all of the shops are open.
Here are pictures of this weekend’s happenings (including Media Theater, Fogo de Chao, Comcast Center, and Love Park Christmas Village):
